About Con Burch
Con has been involved musically in the Shenandoah Valley for many years. She has performed as lead vocalist with numerous groups of different genres including folk, country, big band, pop and bluegrass, touring the East Coast with the renowned bluegrass group “Bill Emerson and The Sweet Dixie Band”. As a songwriter she contributed 2 award winning songs to the live project and the CD. She was also the lead vocalist for performances of a Patsy Cline Tribute at multiple theatres and venues in the region. In 2010 she released her debut CD On My Sleeve including 13 original songs.
Before college she directed her church choir and was guest organist/choir director at several area churches also performing at weddings and special ceremonies. Con studied Vocal Performance and Piano at Davis and Elkins College.
She currently fulfills her love of music by teaching. She teaches individual voice and piano lessons as well as group lessons including church choirs, duos and trios at her studio in Fort Valley, The Blue Ridge Arts Council in Front Royal or The Barns of Rose Hill in Berryville. Also participating in community events, Con has judged several vocal and talent contests and has volunteered as Musical Director for Theatre Shenandoah with the shows Guys and Dolls and Oliver.
